Marcia Harvey

Marcia Harvey is an African-American author, more famous because she was the ex-wife of comedy legend and TV host, Steve Harvey. Deciding largely to stay away from the scrutiny of the media, she is living an extremely private life. Steve had never achieved the same level of success that it is today, however they were married 14 years ago. The reasons behind the couple's separation were not known and rumors of their split have always been heard in Hollywood. Some believe it was due to Steve Harvey's unsavory behavior and others to his choice of the path of a different kind, like comedy. The tragic story of her life is attributed to the reality that Steve quit her and his two daughters, while she was pregnant with their third child. Despite all of the hardships she was able to create an impressive career as a fashion writer and stylist. Marcia Harvey was raised in an African-American household and isn't wealthy. She started her career in Saks Fifth Avenue, a department store. Steve met her by a friend at their wedding reception. They became inseparable, and they got married in 1980. Steve was working as an insurance salesman at the time and the couple was blessed with twin girls in 1982. At that point, Steve was already beginning to become disillusioned by his job and wanted to make his own entertainment business including stand-up comedy, particularly stand-up. Steve and Marcia were unable to get along and reports later suggested that they'd lived apart since the year 1990. Marcia Harvey was famous for her divorce from Steve Harvey and marriage. The circumstances leading to the divorce of Steve and Marcia in 1994 have been kept a secret, there is no denying that Marcia was pregnant with their third child at the time the marriage fell apart. Marcia ultimately filed for divorce on March 23 1993. Marcia was forced to do so by Steve Harvey's refusal to pay an alimony payment or child support following her divorce.
