 Miley Ray Cyrus was born Destiny Hope Cyrus on November 23rd December 1992. She is an American actor, singer and songwriter. Her distinctive voice is known for her influences in music which include pop, country, hip hop, experimental music, rock, and more. With a total of thirteen songs, Cyrus is the female artist to have had the highest number of US Billboard 200 Top-five Albums in the 21st Century. Cyrus's personal life, public appearance and performances frequently sparked controversy and received significant media attention. Cyrus, a daughter of country music star Billy Ray Cyrus, emerged as a teen idol while playing the main character on Hannah Montana, a Disney Channel television series Hannah Montana (2006-2011). In her role as Hannah Montana, she attained two number-one and three top-five songs on the US Billboard 200, including the US Billboard Hot 100 top-ten single "He Could Be the One". Cyrus's own discography includes the US number one albums Meet Miley Cyrus (2007), Breakout (2008) and Bangerz (2012); the top five releases Can't Be Tamed (2017) and Younger Now (2017) and Plastic Hearts (2020); and the Miley Cyrus and His Dead Petz (2015). Cyrus's EPs The Time of Our Lives (2009) and She Is Coming (2019) also debuted within the top five. Plastic Hearts was Cyrus's most well-known album, debuting on the top of the Billboard Rock Chart. The album also included the lead single "Midnight Sky". Other singles she has released include "See You Again", the US number-one "7 Things" and "Party in America." "Party in America" is her other chart-topping top ten single. "Party in America" also features "Can't Be Tamed", We Can't Stop", Malibu, and "Without You". "Party in the U.S.A." was the first certified Diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America. Cyrus's achievements include placement in the Time 100 in 2008 and 2014, the MTV Best Artist of 2013 Award and inclusion on Billboard's Greatest of All Time Artists List for the year 2019. She is often regarded as one of the few examples of successful child actors-turned-singers. Cyrus was an actress, and was featured in Bolt (2008), Hannah Montana: The Movie (2010) and The Last Song (2010). Cyrus has been a coach on The Voice, a singing contest, over two seasons. In addition, she appeared as Ashley Too in "Rachel, Jack, and Ashley Too" on Netflix's Black Mirror (2019). Cyrus is an active advocate for the rights of animals. In 2014, she decided to adopt an animal-free lifestyle. She created the Happy Hippie Foundation in 2014. Its focus is on youth homeless, as well as the LGBT community.
