Britney Jean Spears

Britney Jean Spears was born in McComb, Mississippi, and was raised in Kentwood. Britney was an avid dancer in her youth and was a winner of numerous competitions in gymnastics. Britney is a singer and dance, but more important, she was a fan of dancing classes. Britney was just 8 years old when she attempted to be a part of The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) However her age was a factor to her being rejected. Then, she was directed to "Ruthless" which was an off-Broadway production in which she played as the main persona for two years. She attempted to reprise her role in The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) and this time playing an actual mouseketeer. In the latter part of the 90s, Britney signed with Jive Recording Artist. Britney was an enormous hit following her first album, "Baby one more time." "...Baby another time" in 1999. The album also sold over 13 million copies (as as of July 2001) of her follow-up album "Oops !...I did it Again" that was released in May 2000. Britney was the daughter of Lynne Spears and Jamie Spears. She has an older brother Bryan Spears and a little sister Jamie Lynn Spears. Britney was a daughter of Madonna, Mariah Carey, and Whitney Houston, was always determined to become a star. Britney auditioned for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989-1994) on television at the age of 8. But she was too young to play the part. Britney relocated to New York with her mother and her baby sister. She appeared in numerous TV commercials and was also the understudy of Natalie Portman in "Ruthless" off-Broadway. Britney discovered her passion for music and dance two years later, when she was auditioning again for "Mickey Mouse" and was able to win the role along with Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera.
