Walter Bruce Willis, a actor from West Germany, was born in Idar-Oberstein, West Germany on March 19 1955. He was the son of Marlene Kassel (from Carneys Point), and David Andrew Willis (from New Jersey), who lived at a military base in the United States. His family moved to U.S. soon after he was born. Willis was born in Penns Grove by his mother who worked in an institution, and his father, a welding who was a factory worker and welder. Willis was interested in acting during his high school. When he worked at an New York City café, it was reported that he was "discovered". Then, he began to appear in a few off-Broadway productions.
