Lil Tecca

Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe (born August 26, 2002) who is professionally referred to as Lil Tecca, is an American artist and rapper. The release of "Ransom," his 2019 single, has helped him become a household name. This single was part of his first mixtape "We Love You Tecca" (2019) which peaked at the 4th spot on the US Billboard 200. The mixtape also included the singles "Love Me", "Did It Again" and "Did It Again". His debut album, Virgo world (2020), debuted on the Billboard 200 at number 10. It featured the Billboard Hot 100 chart-charting songs "Dolly", and "When You Down". The second mixtape, We Love You Tecca 2, was released in the month of August 2021. It included "Repeat It" and "Lot of Me". Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe was a son of Jamaican immigrants. He was born August 26, 2002 in Queens, New York City. He was born in Queens in Springfield Gardens. However, Sharpe eventually moved to Cedarhurst in Long Island. Sharpe was always hoping to make it into the NBA in his youth but at the age of 12, he decided to pursue a profession in music. He graduated from Lawrence High School. Tecca was nine years old at the age, was rapping alongside the other students using his Xbox to record. They would make tracks of diss directed at each other that was uploaded to SoundCloud many years ago. However, it has since been removed. At beginning, he didn't have intentions to start music and instead dreamed of becoming an NBA superstar. But, during middle school, his interest in basketball faded and began to consider taking the music seriously. His debut single, "Tectri", which has gained some attention in spring of 2017 was produced in collaboration and released by Lil Gummybear. His other tracks include "Callin" and "Tectri". Tecca's career took off one year later after the success of his single "Ransom" that was uploaded to Cole Bennett’s Lyrical Lemonade YouTube channel on May 22, 2019. The song peaked at 4 in the Billboard Hot 100 charts and has been played more than 900,000,000 times on Spotify and more than 300 million times on YouTube.
